PremierWireless Version 1.5.3.95 - 2/9/2012

On Monday, 2/13/2012, a new version of PremierWireless will be released. Below are the changes that will be in this version

  • Combined steps in the Qpay process to make Qpay process quicker and made it easier to use the keyboard only.

  • Now listing MEID/ESN to exchanged phones on receipts

  • Fixed a few Javascript errors when using carrier browser

  • Fixed application crash when TIO sends back an error

PremierWireless 1.5.3.78 Changes - 1/3/2012

PremierWireless Version 1.5.3.78

On Monday, Jan 9th. 2012, there will be a new version of PremierWireless released with the following changes:

  • Added the ability to choose what type of phone serial number prints on the receipt. MEID Hex, MEID Decimal, ESN Hex or ESN Decimal (defaults to MEID Decimal)
  • Added the ability to print the store’s email address on the receipt.
  • Added a feature where customers can get their license key emailed to them.
  • Added filtering of inactive and ended rebates and the ability to sort the rebate columns.
  • The Qpay web browser will automatically choose www.qpay123.com or dlp.qpay123.com, based on if the certificate is installed or not.
  • You no longer need to restart PremierWireless to change printer settings.
  • Removed excess blank lines from receipts.
  • Product Promos now have a configurable option to popup at the time of sale.
  • Add the ability to print a simple signature receipt for credit card transactions. This will print an additional receipt with the total and a signature line.
  • Add ability for customers to turn off the Qpay and TIO receipts.
  • Sort carrier browser list alphabetically.
  • Hide inactive accessory items.
  • User gets warned if receiving an item in an order that has inventory tracking turned off.
  • Added who entered inventory onto Returned Item Details report.
  • Product browse ellipsis … has been changed to a search hourglass image to be more intuitive.
  • Added silent mode as customization to carrier browser which will remove JavaScript error popups.
  • Fixed issue where username was printing on receipts rather then display name.
  • Made Qpay browser open larger.

PremierWireless 1.5.3.60 Changes - 11/8/2011
On Monday, November 7th, version 1.5.3.60 was released to all users.
Here are a list of changes:
- Added ability to set commissions on Qpay MetroPCS activations and bill payments seperately.
- Added the ability to set which Qpay URL is used per station.
- Added ability to search customers by company name.
- Made changes to carrier browser that will make it easier to track down and fix errors coming from CID.
- If the new customer window was open, you could not open another new customer window. This has been fixed.
- Before you were able to do a vault transaction for $0, which did not make sense, now fixed.
- Removed print barcodes button from inventory scan, it was no longer needed.
- When importing a customer from TIO, If TIO does not send first and last name, PW will ask the user to enter it in.
- Made some changes for upcoming in-app billing feature, which is currently in beta testing.

PremierWireless 1.5.3.55 Changes - 10/26/2011

On Monday, Oct. 24th, PremierWireless 1.5.3.55 was released with the following changes/fixes.  This update will be downloaded automatically after a restart of the software.

  • The carrier browser no longer has Javascript error popups when being used with CID. 

  • Added ‘Require manager override for exchanges’ option.

  • Fixed layout of TIO balance presentment window.

  • Added popup when TIO doesn't provide customer first name and last name to allow CSR to enter the customer’s information.

  • Fixed issue with remote support that would cause users to not be able to close the remote support window.

  • Switched remote support software from Mikogo to BeamYourScreen.

PremierWireless 1.5.3.50 Changes - 10/11/2011
On Monday, Oct 17th, PremierWireless 1.5.3.50 will be released with the following changes/fixes.   The update will happen automatically when PremierWireless is started.
  • Added changes for Qpay MetroPCS support which will be launched soon.
  • The carrier browser now works with websites that use client certificates or NTLM Authenication, including dlp.qpay123.com
  • Added more detail to Qpay customer confirmation page.
  • Added ability to change list price on phones without having to open the edit used phone window. Now you can just double-click on the list price in the list to modify the list price.
  • Fixed issue where having the incorrect time set on a computer effects a clock-in and clock-out.
  • Receipts would only print 1 copy, even if 2 copies were selected, this has been fixed.
  • Added more space for the signature on credit card receipts.
  • Added message to let user know if their shift has been open overnight.
  • Fixed issue where scan audits use the current store rather than the selected store.
  • Post direction of a customer's address wasn't correctly being saved, this has been fixed.
  • Combined refund/exchanges with sale items in the sale lookup and added reasons for discounts (on rollover of discount amount), refunds/exchanges (on rollover of item row) and voids.
  • Added the store to the Sale lookup window, helps when looking up a sale by sale Id to see where it was originally done
  • Added the description of the product tags to the checked list box on the product manager
  • Added customer name to TIO receipts
  • On TIO Settlement Report, the terminals have been separated and totals have been added for each terminal

Returned Item Details Report - 9/23/2011
Need to quickly see detailed sales returns for your store?  Check out the new Returned Item Details report.  You can quickly see what items have been returned either through refund or exchange, by which CSR and for what reason.  To enable the report go to Tools > Users > Role Management and look under the Report rule category to find the rule 'Allowed to access report: Returned Item Details'.  Grant the desired roles access by placing a check under the the name of that role.  Users will then be able to view the report in the Report Center under the Sales Category.

Discount Details by User Report - 9/21/2011
A few customers have asked for a report that would allow them to see who is discounting sale items and for what reasons.  The new Discount Details by User report is the way to do that!  To enable the report go to Tools > Users > Role Management, look under the Report rule category and find the rule 'Allowed to access report: Discount Details by User'.  Grant users access by placing a check in the appropriate boxes under the desired user roles.  Once this is completed, you can view the report in the Report Center under the Sales Category.

PremierWireless 1.5.3.43 - 9/14/2011
 PremierWireless 1.5.3.43 will be released 9/15/2011. This version fixes some problems that people have been having recently with PremierWireless.
  • We've worked on the connection issues which seem to be greatly reduced with this version
  • System messages now shouldn't cut off the message.
  • The carrier browser now works with websites that require a certificate.
  • The past due amount is now being shown for Qpay payments.
  • There's now a textbox to allow you to use the inventory scan audit with a non-programmed scanner
  • Several other minor bug fixes

Product Sales Report - 8/23/2011
Due to several customer requests, a new report has been created that will show the total item sales counts and subtotal for selected products.  To enable the report go to Tools > Users > Role Management, find the rule 'Allowed to access report: Product Sales' under the Report category and add permission to the desired roles.  The report can then be found in the Report Center under the Sales category.

The report is a matrix style report showing the sold item count and sales subtotal for each product selected per store.  You can also use the [+] next to the product description to show/hide the breakdown of item sales by user.

PremierWireless 1.5.3.35 - 8/16/2011
PremierWireless 1.5.3.35 will be released on Monday, August 22nd, 2011.

PremierWireless 1.5.3.35 includes the following features and fixes.

- It's now possible to restrict the ability to do a 'Cash Sale' by role.               
To configure this, Tools -> Users -> Role Management.
The rule is listed under Sales as 'Allowed to do sales without having customer information (Cash Sale).

When purchasing a used phone, users that have the 'Allowed to edit used phone list price' are now able to set the list price during the purchase process.

Lists of products when using Qpay integration are now listed in alphabetical order

When purchasing a used phone, users that have the 'Allowed to edit used phone max discount' are now able to set the max discount during the purchase process.

Added email address to features requests to give us an easier way to update people on the status of their feature request.

Changed all phone number and SSN textboxes to start the caret at the first position when you click on it rather than location where it was clicked.

When processing a TIO payment, if the phone number is not entered in, it will now give the user a better message.

Made it possible to copy and paste the MEID or ESN from the sale window.

Fixed error that occurred if someone set their TIO Terminal ID but hasn't contacted TIO to set it up yet.

Fixed issue with time zones when using Windows in a language other than English.

Fixed a error with regions if you create a store that is the first in the list

Fixed an issue with the store tree selector on reports that will not show store if no state is selected for the store

Fixed an issue with Regions where if you create a new region from the region browse button (...) of the store manager it is not in the list

- Fixed an issue with Refunds where refunds to credit or debit cause an error if they're not using an integrated payment provider.

Fixed an issue where a credit or debit payment doesn't correctly transfer amount to payment screen.

When printing a vault transaction, an error during printing gives a better error message.

Fixed layout issue when Qpay license address on Qpay receipt when printing a ribbon receipt on a full page paper.

Fixed bug with commissions that was caused when revenue distribution is setup on a product also.

How to setup phones in PremierWireless to track carrier commission checks from Cricket - 7/13/2011

 

Go to the product manager and select a phone. On the details tab make sure to set the MSRP and check the Tag “MARR Credits”

 


Click the Pricing Tab.   Set the sale price of the phone.  Then click “Configure Revenue Distribution”

 


Click the radio button next to “Revenue is distributed between.”   Click the “Add” button.  Under select Recipient select “Cricket”.   Click the Radio Button next to “Percentage of” and type 88% if you are a Premier door and 90%for Standard doors.   Click the box next to “Use OTD price for calculation” Then click OK.

 

 

Click the “Rebates” Tab.  Select the button for“Instant Rebate”.  Type a description so the employees know what the instant rebate is for.  In the Rebate amount field type the amount of the instant rebate.  Then click the “Fixed”radio button and click “Save”.

 

 

Go to the report center and run the report called MSRP Sales under the MSRP Sales Category. The report will show the amount you will receive from Cricket in the difference column.

The Profit on the phone will also calculate correctly on your Profit and Loss report.

 

When Cricket makes changes to MARR Credits and Instant Rebates, you will have to update these within your PremierWireless database.  The software does not automatically update these for you.

PremierWireless 1.5.3
includes the following features and fixes.

- Full QPay and TIO integration has been completed and we will begin beta testing the integration with select dealers upon the release of 1.5.3.

- System wide use of QPay and TIO integration will commence once beta testing has been completed.  Dealers will be notified when the feature becomes available.

Other bug fixes and feature updates include:

- Added status to the rebate tracker to show if the sale has been voided.

- Product categories update correctly when modified.

- Modified how caching works which should reduce hanging when there's a lot of phones in inventory

- When adding multiple ESNs, the user can now paste in multiple ESNs or separate the ESNs by a comma.

- On the inventory tab of the product manager, you can now add multiple inventory items at once.

- On the inventory tab of the product manager, you can now remove multiple items at once.

- On the inventory tab of the product manager, you can now change the cost of multiple items at once.

- Stores now have a setting to require a drawer when opening a shift, this defaults to not requiring a drawer.

- The reports that run at the end of shift are now configurable in the report center and reports now have a description.

- Reports have been made easier to manage on the server-side which will ensure that each company has access to all available reports.

- Added Ctrl+L shortcut to open the product lookup screen during a sale.

- Date sold on an item now changes if the date of the sale has been modified.

- Fixed problem where occasionally during update the default settings file wouldn't get updated, which would require the user to reinstall PremierWireless.

- Fixed issue where documents window wouldn't load the document categories correctly.

- Fixed issue where special characters such as a smart quote in a document would cause an error while trying to save the document.

- Fixed issue where logging out rather than closing PremierWireless to switch to a different database wouldn’t actually switch the database.

- Fixed issue that cause order items to sometimes not load correctly.

- Fixed customer saving a customer note on a new customer.

  • Added a quantity selection to point of sale window, so now you can add more then one item at a time.

    This can be turned on and off on the Store manager on the receipts tab.

  • Modified customer search to search for mobile number also.

  • 'Existing customer' sale option gives options to add a new customer, or enter a different phone number when the customer isn't found.

  • Modified new customer to search current customers when phone number is entered in.

  • If you change the CSR who did a sale, it will ask if you want to move the commissions to that CSR or not.

    This can be turned on and off on the store manager on the sales tab.

  • The 'The remote name could not be resolved' error will now retry up to 3 times before failing.

PremierWireless MSRP/MARR Sales Report - 2/24/2011

MSRP Sales Report for Comparison with Callidus:

 

PremierWireless has designed a report to assist Cricket dealers in calculating profit from phones they order through Brightpoint after applying instant rebates on those phones for customers. The new MSRP Sales report allows selection by date range, multiple locations and specific phone models to report on. This report can be compared to your reports from Callidus to ensure you’re receiving the correct profit margin.

 

So how does it work?

 

Cricket now pays dealers based on the cost of the phone minus 65% of the out-the-door (OTD) price, leaving you with the difference. To enable this feature, simply add the MSRP to your phones through the product manager in PremierWireless.

 

Here’s what the report looks like…..(click the image for a full-size view)



 

In the above example, the LG AX245 has a wholesale cost of $150.00. The MSRP on the phone is $199.99 and has a $30 instant rebate making the OTD price $169.99.  65% of the OTD price is $110.49. If we take the cost of the phone ($150) – ($110.49)  we have a difference of $39.51 which is the dealers profit from the sale of that phone.

PremierWireless 1.5.2 changes - 2/17/2011

  • Configurable user access levels.

    Previously PremierWireless only had 2 access levels, User and Administrator and it was not configurable. Now we've added the ability to create as many access levels as needed and configure what parts of PremierWireless users have access to.
    By default, we're creating 4 access levels, Administrator, Manager, Bookkeeper, and CSR. Your current users will be assigned to Administrator or CSR depending on what their currently configured as.
    Using Tools -> Users -> Assign Roles, Administrators can quickly configure which users are in which role.
    Using Tools -> Users -> Role Configuration, Administrators can configure what each role has access to.

  • New product tagging system

    Some items need to show up in specific places on reports and now you can choose tags to let PremierWireless know which columns it should show up in.

  • New system notification system

    Now we can have PremierWireless show a notification at startup. This will be used to show when an update is going to be coming out or to keep users updated when there is a bug that we're aware of.

  • The sale process now has a Spanish translation.

    The sale process now has a Spanish translation. Users have a primary language that they can set inside of the User Management window. Setting this to Spanish will make the sale process Spanish for that user.

  • Spanish receipts for spanish speaking customers.

    Now you can add Spanish receipt messages and choose to print a Spanish receipt.

  • Q-pay integration is more reliable and now works for more carriers such as MetroPCS.

  • Added a 'How did you hear about is' field to the customer advanced tab. This can be marked required from the Store Manager.

  • Modifying the current store's settings does not require you to close and restart PremierWireless anymore.

  • Built-in remote support with an instant messenger style communication with our PremierWireless support staff.

    Previously to get remote support you'd have to call and talk to our support staff and if they needed to view the computer you would have to go to join.Mikogo.com and enter a Mikogo ID. We've integrated Mikogo into PremierWireless so you no longer have to enter a session ID.

  • Bill Payment Processor Tracking

    You're now able to add total of the payments from your bill payment processor reports, such as Qpay or TransFirst. This allows us to show them the 'Daily Closeout Summary' report to compare the PremierWireless total against the total from your bill payment processor.

  • Added the ability to delete customers.

    If you right click on a customer in the Customer Management window, you will now see an option to delete the customer. This is useful for customers that get added on accident, or duplicated.

  • User Management now loads instantly and has a filter on the users.

    The User Management was loading slow for PremierWireless users with hundreds of employees and it was getting difficult to find the correct user because so many were listed. Now the User Management window will load hundreds of users without having to wait and above the user list is a search textbox that will instantly filter the user list.

  • Connection timeouts will retry up to 3 times before failing.

    Some PremierWireless users have received some connection timeouts when internet traffic is heavy. Now PremierWireless will try up to 3 times when a timeout happens. This should reduce the amount of timeouts.

  • Mobile lines have been added to the customer export

  • Revenue distribution will now allow you to choose which revenue receiver gets discounts subtracted from.

    In revenue distribution there is now a checkbox that lets you pick where discount and instant rebates get subtracted from. When choosing 'Use OTD Price' or 'Out the Door' price PremierWireless will subtract the discount from that amount.

    When Use OTD Price is checked, the recipient's portion of the revenue will be calculated prior to subtracting the discounts from the sale price. (E.g. If the recipient is to receive 50% of the revenue, the distribution amount will be 50% of the OTD price rather than 50% of the sale price) OTD Price is the sale price with instant rebates but not including other discounts. The remainder of the discount amount will always be removed from the recipient selected to receive the remaining revenue amount.
  • Selectable duration for items sold on transfers.

    In the product manager, on the transfers tab, you can now select to show the lifetime total sold, amount sold since the beginning of the year, or the amount sold in the last 30 days.
  • The sale browser can now be sorted.

  • Auto-Login in the carrier browser now works on some websites.

    We've looked at some of the most used websites that people have stored in the carrier browser and made the auto-login work for the most used websites. It does not work for every website because it requires us to know what the name of the username field is.

  • Barcode scanners that have not been programmed will now work with the 'Scan Multiple Phones' window.

    Before only barcode Symbol barcode scanners that have been programmed to send F21 before the scan and F22 after the scan would work with the 'scan multiple phones' window. Now any scanner that acts as a keyboard should work.

  • Added the ability to print serial number barcodes.

    In barcode manager, now there is a button to add a serial number barcode.

  • Scan audit approval now shows mismatched ESNs correctly

PremierWireless 1.5 changes - 9/30/2010

On 1/4/2010, We are releasing version 1.5 of PremierWireless.  Below are the changes that have been made.

The title bar now shows the company name and username and if it's a trial license, this is for when multiple copies are open on the same computer.

PremierWireless 1.4.4 Release Changes - 6/18/2010
On Monday 6/21/2010, PremierWireless version 1.4.4 will be released with the following features:

  • Added Ability to track ICC-ID numbers

    We've added tracking of 19 and 20 digit ICCID numbers which are used on SIM cards

  • Add ability to print from MEID/ESN Converter

    Now you can easily print the results from the MEID/ESN converter.

  • QPay Integration

    Each user is able to add their Qpay user name and password thru user management, then clicking the Qpay button in the top bar will open Qpay. When making a payment it will add the payment to the sale window.

PremierWireless 1.4.3 Release Changes - 5/28/2010

On June 1st 2010, Version 1.4.3 of PremierWireless will be released. Below are a list of changes to version 1.4.3.

Features

  • Users can change their passwords and edit their email and account information

  • Now all users can access the user management screen, when a user is not an administrator then they only will see themselves.

  • Added keyboard shortcuts for common things

  • We have added keyboard shortcuts for common things such as opening the sale window.

PremierWireless Version 1.4.2 Release Changes - 5/14/2010

Sunday, May 17th 2010 a new version of PremierWireless, version 1.4.2 will be released.

New Features

  • Notes on invoices

    At time of sale, a user can add a note to the sale. This note will be printed on the receipt.

  • Added a reason for discounts

    Now there's an option in the store manager to require a reason for discounts. The user can choose from a list of reasons or enter their own reason.

  • Added support for 16 digit IMEISV numbers

    Before PremierWireless supported 15 digit IMEI numbers, we've added support for 16 digit IMEI numbers. These are for GSM phones such as Boost or T-Mobile

  • Modified receiving of items from orders to eliminate duplicates

    When receiving items in an order you no longer need to click save, it will add them instantly and now there’s a button at the right hand side of each order item, this button will let you see all the items that have been received in the order and you can remove them from inventory if needed.

Bug Fixes

  • Added a license expired message

    Added better message for expired software licenses, before PremierWireless just wouldn't let the user login, not it notifies the user that the license has expired.

  • Fixed the "Carriers" toolbar button

    Before if no carriers were configured for the carrier browser, the store the icon would still be displayed until it was clicked on for the first time, now it will not show when no carriers are configured.

  • Inventory Editor and Used Phone Editor now correctly handles ESN\MEID changes

  • Sorting used phone now correctly moves colors and phone images

    Before when sorting the used phone window the list of phones would sort the items in the list but the row colors wouldn't move so the colors were inaccurate. Now the row colors move correctly.

  • Fixed saving of revenue distribution

  • Warn user when distributing revenue more than 100% of cost.

    Now there's a warning when you distribute more then 100% of the cost of an item but it will still let you do it

  • Added check for closed shifts

    Sometimes a user will leave PremierWireless open overnight and their shifts get automatically get closed but before PremierWireless wasn’t notified of the shift closing. PremierWireless now will verify the shift isn’t closed.

  • When entering in the Username, you had to tab out of the textbox before you could click the 'Next' button, this was because it verifies that there's not another user with the same username. This could cause confusion because the user wouldn’t know why the 'Next' button was disabled.
    Also, before you could enter a valid user name, tab out of the textbox, then modify the username to match a username already in the system, if you clicked 'Next’ without tabbing out of the textbox it wouldn't do the check and would add auser with a duplicate user name.

    It has been changed so that the 'Next' button is always enabled and it does the duplicate username check when you press the 'Next' button.

PremierWireless Version 1.4.0 Release Changes - 4/21/2010

ESN Search within used phone management.

Now you can type or scan an ESN to search for an ESN in the Used Phone Management window.

Document Management

You’ll be able to add documents in an HTML format to the documents menu. This is where you can save things like flashing disclaimers, or store policy documents.

Refund multiple items at once

Now you’re able to refund multiple items at once by clicking the check box next to each item in the sale lookup window, and clicking refund checked

Exchanges

PremierWireless now has support for exchanges. When viewing a sale, if you click the checkbox next to the items to be exchanged, then click exchanges checked, you will be shown the sale window where you can choose which items to exchange for. In the store manager you’re able to configure if you want cash back to be allowed for exchanges.

Ability to attach a phone number to a phone at time of sale then search on that phone.

Now you’re able to add the phone number to the phone when selling it. This make it easier to find the sales related to the phone number.  When you select a customer it will add the phone number to the list of the customer’s cell numbers. In the store manager you’re able to make the phone number required for any phone sales.

Improved speed when creating and viewing orders

Better support for lower screen resolutions

Many of the windows have been modified to work better at 800x600 resolutions. When PremierWireless smaller then 800x600 the toolbar at the top will shrink to give more room to work in.

Time Clock

In store manager, you’re able to enable the employee timeclock. The employee timeclock is a simple, clock in, clock out system for tracking what time an employee gets to work and leaves.

When the timeclock is enabled you will see a clock-in\out option when you click the timeclock button. The timeclock is different then shifts in PremierWireless, shifts are tied to a station and store, clock in and clock out can be done from any store.

Ability to delete orders

Now you can remove orders that were entered on accident. To delete an order, right click on the order and select delete.
